WolveSpirit Achieves a Neural Miracle: Their New Single "Still Undefeated" Can Make the Deaf Hear Again!
The sensation is perfect! The band from Würzburg has, by pure chance, achieved what generations of scientists and doctors have failed to accomplish. During the studio production of their new single "Still Undefeated," the band’s loyal dog, Wolverina, was left roaming around the mixing console unsupervised. One could attribute it to the dog's extraordinarily fine senses, its remarkable intelligence, or sheer coincidence: Wolverina nudged the controls repeatedly with her nose, resulting in highly unorthodox settings that not only improved the sound of the production dramatically but also led to a completely unexpected side effect.
When the band returned from the recording booth to the control room, they were greeted with two surprises: The first was the earthy yet crystal-clear sound; the second was their neighbor, Mr. Obermoser, standing in the open doorway with tears streaming down his face and his eyes wide open. As a young child, Mr. Obermoser had lost his hearing completely due to illness. Now, he stood before them, radiating with a blissful expression. At first, he had only perceived muffled noises, then increasingly distinct sounds, which had apparently drifted over from the studio next door. Now, he could hear music in all its full glory! After decades of complete silence, he was suddenly able to hear again.
The phenomenon was subsequently carefully examined. The unique layering of infrasound and ultrasound signals evidently led to successful neural stimulation of his auditory nerves. Deeply moved, WolveSpirit felt inspired to rename their new single to honor this miracle. The initial title "Yeah Yeah Yeah" was set aside, as was the idea of calling it "Undeafening," which didn’t quite fit, and they settled on "Still Undefeated" to celebrate Mr. Obermoser's unexpected triumph.
The band is thrilled but also hopes that Mr. Obermoser will enjoy the other songs on the upcoming album, as their studio was hardly soundproofed and located close to his house precisely because they had never anticipated that their neighbor might disapprove.
