WolveSpirit achieve the neural miracle:
Their new single "Still Undefeated" can let the deaf hear again!
Uh - excuse me?
That sounds very suspiciously like an absolute bullshit report! Thats right: its total bullshit.
And why?
Because "Bullshit" is not only the name, but also the concept of the new WolveSpirit
album which will be released on June 28 as the follow-up to "Change The World", which reached number 30 in the German album charts in 2022.
If you want to know the whole bullshit story of the Classic/Hard Rockers about the new single in full bloom, you can find it HERE.
But now to the real facts:
"Still Undefeated" is an expression of the indomitable, original truth that we all carry within us as human beings.
For WolveSpirit, it is also a kind of mantra to always be aware of our collective strength and
determination.
The energies within us and around us are often in a complex relationship of tension. Yin
and yang, light and darkness are interwoven in a recurring dance around each other. In this tension lies a hidden beauty and a power that WolveSpirit explore with every line of their new single - wondering what power this unleashed force could have if discord didnt keep forcing us into the cycle of destruction and rebuilding.
The Würzburg based band describes another level of their new work:
With "Still Undefeated" we also wanted to point out the alienation from the true source of our being and the pervasive distortion of truth that turns our dreams into fears. It is a call to become aware of these distortions and to find the courage to confront them in order to come back into harmony with our true selves and our original dreams.
"Bullshit" is the most ambitious project in the bands history to date which can already look
back on joint tours with Uriah Heep and Spiritual Beggars, among others. WolveSpirit will lead
us in ever new episodes to the new album release and beyond, uncovering as much bullshit as
they spread, encouraging everyone to keep their bullshit detecors switched on. So if anyone
hears or reads anything from or about WolveSpirit that seems very bullshit, its certainly worth
a second look.
WolveSpirit launch an integrated AI/robotics system as a new crew member of the band with their new single "Robots“
What musician hasn't experienced it: before the gig, you have to endlessly haul and set up everything - and afterwards, it all has to be transported back again. The Classic/Hard Rockers from WolveSpirit are now taking advantage of technical progress and are probably the first band in the world to provide themselves with a modern artificial assistant. The "bULLAshIT 1" model was created in its basic form in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute and was configured for practical use by the band and programmed with individual extras: "bULLAshIT 1" is a fully functional roadie that can set up drum sets and do all the wiring for the stage equipment without any human assistance. But that's not all, the robotic unit can do much more: in the style of a Transformer, "bULLAshIT 1" can not only fetch drums, amps and speakers from the stage: in just a few simple steps, the friendly helper converts itself into a self-driving tour bus and drives the entire band back to the rehearsal room at home!
The naming of the AI robot is due to the fact that the perception of gender should be located as primarily female in order to create gender parity within the band structure. The original "Ulla 1" later became "bULLAshIT 1" after "Ulla 1" made a few mistakes. It all started when the machine returned from the gas station with cans of used oil instead of the desired treats, which no one but herself could eat without endangering her health. When it came to tuning the instruments afterwards, it lacked all fine motor skills, so that all the strings broke, including the replacement strings. The most drastic incident, however, occurred a few weeks later at the warm-up gig in Castrop-Rauxel, when "Ulla 1" transformed from the tour bus into her robot form while all the equipment was still loaded into it. All the hardware was deformed as if it had fallen into a scrap press. The application for reimbursement from the liability insurance company is still ongoing.
So "bULLAshIT 1" is obviously not yet fully mature, but it has already inspired the band to write their new single „Robots“.
>> If you've read this far and are wondering what all this BULLSHIT is about, you can rest assured: Yes, it is bullshit!
And why is it bullshit? Because this is not only the name, but also the concept of the new WolveSpirit album which will be released this year. The new album is the follow-up to "Change The World" which reached #30 in the German album charts in 2022.
The Würzburg based band on the background to their new work:
"With the creation of AI, we opened Pandora's box. All the good and bad things that AI will bring, we can't stop them now, there's no turning back. 'Robots' is part of the upcoming new album 'Bullshit'. With this provocative title, we want to boldly address the fact that we are confronted daily with fabricated narratives that serve up fairy tales or interest-driven untruths and half-truths. The truth comes up short, and unfortunately we ourselves are often more willing to believe a fantasy than to see reality soberly with all its shades and dark sides. 'Robots' is also in this vein. Are we really using our newfound power responsibly? Or are we increasingly turning ourselves into machines and degrading humans to a cog in the machine?"
„Robots“ was written at the beginning of 2022, before the hype surrounding ChatGPT, AI & Co. Perhaps following a premonition of what was to come and where the technology was heading. The single is not intended as a mere critique, but also explores the question of what will happen when AI one day develops to the point where it may be more human than humans themselves.
Mankind has always had an ambivalent relationship with progress, vacillating between dismissive fear and boundless optimism about the future. What is relatively new is that we are succumbing to the fascination and losing ourselves almost completely in the newly created, as we can observe in cases of addiction to smartphones or video games. There is a high probability that we will also abuse new developments. We are already hearing stories of lonely people using AI as a substitute for a romantic relationship. And should AI actually cross the line of singularity and surpass us in terms of intelligence, possibly even emotionality, we are probably not far from our own demise.
"Bullshit" is the most ambitious project in the band's history to date which can already look back on joint tours with Uriah Heep and Spiritual Beggars, among others. WolveSpirit will lead us in ever new episodes to the new album release and beyond, uncovering as much bullshit as they spread, encouraging everyone to keep their bullshit antennas tuned in. So if anyone hears or reads anything from or about WolveSpirit that seems very bullshit, it's certainly worth a second look.
